SQL 2005 Developer Edition beta error message

Hi

When I install the latest CTP, I get this message when I ask for Analysis Services to be installed - deselecting that option, enables me to do the main install. The message is:

Setup failed because Service MSSQLServerOLAPService is disabled for the current hardware profile. Services must be set with the current Hardware Profile logon property profile enabled. For more information on how to enable the hardware profile logon property refer to the product documentation.

I'm running on a laptop with no network connection - XP - previously I have had SQL 2000 installed including Analysis Services?

I've tried adding OLAP Administrator to my Admin password but no change. Although I wouldn't expect to do this for an install? I only have one default hardware profile.

Thanks for any help on how I can around this.

Is SQL 2000 Analysis Services still installed? Are you trying to do an upgrade of Analysis Services? If you look at the list of services on the machine do you see "MSSQLServerOLAPService"?

Hi Dan

Yes it was still installed - so I have uninstalled it - and SQL 2000 - and reinstalled 2005 and it all works fine now. I suspect that if I hadn't taken the default settings for the instances but had renamed the Analysis Services instance, it would have worked A bit of checking in the setup wizard at this point would be very helpful in stopping this happening!

A minor point is that the comforting SQL icon no longer appears in the taskbar tray and I can't find a setting to display it - has it gone in the new version?

Thanks for your help
