OTP: MSN/Firwall/Connection problems
Ok here goes. I am around 75% computer illiterate. I can find my way around yet need in depth explanations. The messenger keeps giving me the error of, "key ports". It says check your connection to the internet....this is ok though using the new internet explorer 7 I can surf and access Websites ok. My internet connects through a LAN and is doing so ok. I have tried installing the older msn versions and also tried reinstalling the new version of live beta. Both fail on the Key ports bit and wont connect.
It may be a coincidence but this seemed to start after I signed up to live mail?!?
I have tried turning the Firewall off and have also tried uninstalling my antivirus software and running in depth scans. I have tried repairing with the troubleshoot but still cant get it on. Any ideas?
To be honest it is now doing my head in and I need help please!!!!!
