IE 7 crashes
Hey when using Vista I have discovered that every single time I open IE 7 it crashes. The toolbars don't load it's just a white box with a title bar nothing else. My computer locks up and then everything goes at a snails pace. Once I eventually get the task manager open, I try and end the task. It gives me the option of restarting the task, or leaving it be. I tried both but the same thing happened again. They only way to fix it is to restart.
I'm geussing this is a Vista issue because under XP it seems to work fine.
(Edit) - Now when IE opened because I clicked a link in Messenger it opens with toolbars, dosen't copy the URL over and when I type a URL in it just goes and crashes.

My whole laptop crashed on Vista. Died..died..died. Dell had to come and replace the whole hard drive because Vista created a partition on it and messed up the entire system. My entire teaching files were wiped with it. I'm a nurse and computers are not what I do for a living. I keep up with the technology to improve my field which is healthcare delivery.
Unfortunately, no amount of CPR could resuscitate my dead hard drive. I've got a new one (hard drive)though now, I'm waiting for a better Vista release before I install it again. I'm neurotically paranoid about losing my stuff again.
Try "Reset internet explorer settings" in Tools-Internet Options-Advanced tab (or Control panel-Internet options). That worked for me. Or you can first try to delete temporary internet files and that stuff, becouse I don't know does "Reset" deletes favorites.
