using WMVencoder9 .. :(

′my question is: how do you compress more than one file at a time..

i have about 20 avi's that i would like to compress thru WMVencoder, and one by one its going fine.. but i cant seem to figure out how to do a quelist.. i can add them yes, but next option is where to "save" your WMV.. and i can only use one/same filename for the whole session..

Apros pros pros , isnt it kinda lame, that when u clickoff the tickbox "Encode to file"..and then u press "browse" ..then what? .. you have to find the WMV that you have not yet created?.. whast the idea of that...

Hi Jakob,

First off, your best bet for WMEncoder questions is the Windows Media Encoder newsgroup at http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/community/newsgroups/WindowsMedia/default.mspx?d=1. This forum is focused on Media Foundation.

I'm no WMEncoder expert, but I do believe you're correct here: You can encode a series of n AVI files to a single WMV file, but I don't know of any way to make a batch job where you encode 20 AVIs, each to a different output file.

There might be something I'm not thinking of, though, so I encourage you to try that newsgroup to see if anyone there has anything interesting to say about it.
