My first question in it would be: How do I get the fourm to send me email notification of replies to subscribed threads? I have a vague recollection that when I signed up I was asked if I wanted email notification or notification through MS Messenger. Foolishly I selected the latter and it does not work for whatever reason. I have searched fruitlessly for somewhere to change this. Is it possible?
yes pretty much you have to do it on each thread. I'm sure in the next iteration or so there will be an automatic email sent out functionality
actually, just checked. Go to "My Threads" then click on "Subscriptions" and at the botom there is an alert delivery subscription system, click on it and configure the email options and see if that works....
Tried that, was looking good but the option to have alerts sent to my email inbox is disabled. I followed the instructions to "verify my email address" - twice - but it is still disabled.
I surrender. I'll just come in and check periodically for replies.

First I don't seem to receive notification messages to the Windows Messenger (in fact don't wish to use that application at all), seconds I'm not able to change my profile settings to receive notification to mailbox...

Hi, just a note...
I'd vote for implicit subscription to notifications whenever I'm the one that creates the thread as that is mostly a question. Configurable.
