VS.NET command to add work items

Hello,

I would like to create a toolbar where I can place commands to create specific work items for a specific team project.

However, I could not find an appropriate command using the customizing dialog. Additionally i tried to run the command using the "Command" toolwindow of VS but also did not find an appropriate command using the typeahead.

Anybody knows some tricks how to do it?

Regards, Alex

Alex, you can use the toolbar item to add item of first workitemtype in current project. You can find it by going to customization dialog, Commands Tab, Team Category and looking for "New Work Item - Type 1". You can drag it to toolbar and the title will be replaced by the actual type when selecting different project. The "Add new workitem" menu is dynamic menu and hence there seems to be problems in making them accessible from custom toolbars and from command window. I'll check if we can improve it when we revisit the command structure for next release.

Thanks.
