Remote listener in SQL 2000
We have many environments running at the same time and have the environments clustered. I have one Web application server and another is database server, both are clustered as well. The problem here is that the connection keeps on breaking(here's the glitch: it happens intermittent), there is no connection time out set in the database server. The problem gets fixed only if I reboot the machine. There is no firewall and all the environments falls into the same subnet. Webserver uses IIS. Tried using the SQLCon test utility but that only shows the connection between each other, but we need to know why the connection breaks and that to its intermittent and does not have any specific interval. Also if we check the windows event viewer it says that theremote listenerhas expired. Please help me out in figuring this.Thank You.
