Insert my Map

You may be able to do this in a couple of ways (and I doubt either are on the sample sdk site!)

I know you can add a pushpin with a custom image - which overlays the default map, you would have to play around with the zoom/location etc and I am not sure if there is a max size to the icon image, but it may work.

Another solution, might be to add a custom control to the map use the AddControl method.

I guess I'm not 100% sure I understand why you would want to use your own map anyway? And why you would want to use VE to do so, so maybe some more context would help.
