Vista IE7 and MS CertServer
Hi, has anyone seen this problem before?
any way to fix it?
running the Feb CTP I needed to request a client cert from an intra-net / private app.
it uses server 2003 and msft cert server to issue client certs.
I can open the request page but it just sits there with the "downloading activex control"
message and gives me no way to submit the request.
looks like the chnages to activex activation + the new IE version + the new xenroll bits
have the client page's script broken.
I am sure there must be a simple way to fix this .... but searching has not given any other reports of this so far.
Hi all,
I tried the same with even more simplier setup: Windows Server 2003 for the server and Vista Build 5308 (Feb CTP). No home grown code and it shows "downloading activex ..." message just like in the prev post.
It seems like it is a known problem, I have found at least 3 non-related threads with the same question and no answers.
Do I need to update the server somehow with new scripts to use new xenroll?
Please post if you have any info... thanks.
Im having the same issue.
You need a copy of Longhorn Server Beta 2 to apply the patch in Article ID 922706 as you require files from this OS to copy over to Win3k server.
And guess what you cant download on Select Agreement or Eopen. Ive even contact microsoft directly on dog and bone and after speaking to 8 different people i was informed that longhorn beta is not due to be released for up till 3 months (good old microsoft)
sign up here to be notified the day its released:- http://www.microsoft.com/windowsserver/longhorn/default.mspx
craig
ive now got hold of Longhorn Server beta3.
ive applied the patch sucessfully.
if anyone would like the asp files for Cert Services let me know and i will email them on.
