PropertyHandler in registry missing in Vista

In windows XP you could get the GUID of a PropertyHandler from the registry at HKCR\SystemFileAssociations\<File Extension>\ShellEx\PropertyHandler. However, in Vista Beta 2 the PropertyHandler key is no longer present. I acknowledge that this may not be the best way to access these properties, can someone explain how things have changed and what I need to do now?
