PDA performance issues

I am facing performance issues in my PDA application, The operating system of the PDA is Mobile windows 2002 and the applications is developed in Visual Studio.Net 2003 using Vb.net.

At the PDA side whenever I am receving data in the form of DataSet from the Webservice the performance dips. The reponse time is about 10 to 15 seconds from the Webservice to the PDA.

Please help its very very urgent
