Permanent "Pendint Reboot Requirement"

Hi,

I am trying to install the June CTP of SQL 2005 Dev edition, this is on a machine with VS2005 Beta 2 installed. I have seen that it is possible to do if you install VS, uninstall the .Net Framework and then install the June CTP. However, whenever i get to the system requirements report I always have a pending reboot, even though I have not installed anything and rebooted after the Framework uninstall.

Is there anyway to determine what is causing this? Is there a workaround?

Try this.

1. Run command regedit.

2. Check whether the the key

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Session Manager\Pendingfilerenameoperations

exists. If yes, please remove it and reboot the machine.
