I am having a problem where KeyUp events in a MessageBox are being handled by an underlying form. I searched for existing bug reports and foundFDBK15885.

This bug report describes exactly what I am experiencing.

The resolution on this isWon't Fix and the justification for this is that the issue existing in prior versions of the framework.

I don't understand this rationale. This is obviously undesired behavior (i.e. a bug), so what is being said is that the bug can't be fixed because it has existed in more than one version of the product.

I fully understand the desire to not make "breaking" changes from one version of a product to another; but it seems stretching it to apply this reasoning to fixing abhorrent behavior.

Please revisit this issue.
