SOLVED Re: Can't get activation key for VC Express Beta 2

I have tried to get an activation key 3 times for my Visual Basic 2005 Express Beta 2. I fill out the form on this webiste, press submit, and it says an email has been successfully sent to my inbox. But there is no email in my inbox. I checked the email address. Can anyone help? Has anyone done this successfully?

Thanks for responding. I tried it again and I got this:

Pending limit exceeded

Similar problem for VC++ Express Beta 2.
I, too, fill out the form and press submit. BUT, I get the conformation email and respond to it. The website says my email address is confirmed and I press continue. It takes me to the VC++ homepage. No key. Nothing.

The problem was that the first registration process didn't update my email address to my account. When I logged into my account and added the email address and then re-registered I was sent to a web page with a key which worked.
Sounds like a bug in the registration process..

OK - there are a couple things here:

First, you get the Pending Limit Exceeded because the system only allows a very limited number of outstanding email verifications against a given email address. Since you're not receiving the email (perhaps because of firewall issues?), it's kind of hard for you to verify. There should be a Continue button on the page which you should use.

Otherwise, to clear your limit, use the Contact Us link from the page to request them to clear the email verification limit for your email address. Afterwards, you can try going to http://profile.microsoft.com , log in with your Passport and and make sure your email address is on file there. If all is good, go through the registration prccess again.

If all fails, send mail to VSRGHLP@microsoft.com and include the full URL for the registration site (this is the URL that you'll see in the address bar after you sign in with your Passport.

Hope this helps.
