Problem connection to Team Foundation Server Proxy

I have the following environment:

- Windows Server 2003 SP1 with SQL Server June CTP and Team Foundation Server Data Tier July CTP
- Windows Server 2003 SP1 with Team Foundation Server Application Tier July CTP
- Windows XP Professional SP2 with Visual Studio Team System July CTP

All installed cleanly onto clean machines. I can connect to Team Foundation Server fine. All is well.

Now, I've installed the Team Foundation Server Proxy July CTP onto another clean Windows Server 2003 SP1 machine. Followed the install instructions, including proxy.config and web.config. All installed cleanly. Now, when I try to connect Team Explorer to the proxy server instead I get the following error:

TF31002 Unable to connect to this Team Foundation Server

Nothing useful in the event log on the proxy machine.

Thoughts?

Can you clarify on how you try to connect team explorer to the proxy server?

After you installed server proxy, you need to specify the server proxy in tools | options | Source Control app menu for VS 2005 on your winxp machine. Then still connect to the same AT in team explorer.

Also, can you check the IIS log in server proxy machine?
