Which CTP?
I am just downloading the July CTP of TFS and Vis Studio. The problem is there seems some conflicting instructions. On the TFS page it says that you have to use June CTP of SQL Server for it to work. On the same page it says VS2005 July CTP wont work with June CTP of SQL Server!
Does this mean you cant use July CTP of TFS and VS2005 together? Isnt it the whole point of having the 2 CTPs together, especially on something so integrated as TFS and VS2005 (I would have thought the SQL would have taken the lower priority on integration).
Did I misunderstand?

I am concerned with the new July Versions.
Can I run the following configuation?
July CTP VS2005 Team Suite
July CTP TFS (Dual)
June CTP SQL Server 2005
I tried to install both CTP's from June 2005 and got a conflict with the version of .NET Framework 2.0. It appears that the VS installation didn't see the .NET Framework 2.0 from the SQL Server 2005 installation and tried to install it's own version.
How did you get around this issue?
Is VS and SQL running on the same machine or separate ones?

Use the June CTP drop of SQL Server 2005 with the July CTP of Team Sysytem. However, due to the conflicting versions between the June CTP of SQL and the July CTP of Team System, you must install Team System as a dual-server install. The Data tier on one box (or virtual machine) and the App tier on another.
