PleaseUrgentCrystal Report Grouping

Hi,
I am using Visual Studio 2003 and am trying to create a report. I have Oracle 8i. This is what I have:
Group1
Group2
Group3
I have done all the visual linking, etc. When I just put the group names in the report and run it, the group tree in the report shows fine. However, when I select other data from the tables and put it on the report, the group tree showing on the left on the webpage, is screwed up. I mean, if there is no group2 under group1; group1 will not show.
This happens only when I put additional fields from the table on the report. If I place no fields on the reports, the group tree shows fine.
Please, any help, suggestions are welcome.
Thanks for all the responses.

Hello,

Can you try creating this report using the report design wizard? If not, then I would recommend creating the report and placing the fields you want on the detail section of the report first. Then create the groups one at a time after that.

Preview after you place the fields on the report and after each group to see how it is progressing. This may help to narrow down where the issue is.

It might have something to do with the linking of tables, you could try verifying the SQL by right clicking on the report and selecting Database|Show SQL Query.

Thanks for the response. I had created this report using the wizard. I have tried all possibilities. My SQL and linking are correct.
I have started a blank report. I just placed one group and the details, everything seems fine. Then, I add next group, nothing in the details, everything still seems fine. I just add the group ID in the details section for group2, still fine. Now I add all other fields from the table for group 2 and THERE....
Group1 does not show if there is no group2 under it. Only when I add additional columns from the table, this happens. So I know my SQL and visual linking are correct.
Any suggestions...
