Does iHD Simulator support the Network API?

I wanted to test some elements of the network API - specifically reading an xml document over http. Does the current iHDSimulator support this?

Also, how far away is the next release of the sim?

I think the current simulator's support is patchy at best.

I'm afraid I don't have any news to report re: release dates of newer versions, but I have been working on networking code for a week or so now so by the time it ships I should have a pretty comprehensive set of content for my blog.

Great to hear Peter.

Will the release version of the iHD tools be free as they are now?

Current plan is for the HD DVD interactivity jumpstart simulator to be free.

Does the latest version support networking? I've been trying different bits of code and have not been able to get it working in the HDi simulator.

No. iHDSim does not support the networking APIs.

Will there be support in the future?

Actually, I believe the latest version of HDiSim does support the network APIs. Although, the implementation might not be complete.
