SQL Server & linked access mdb

Hello,

We are using a product calledRecorder 6 installed into a SQL server 2003. As previous versions were based on Access 97, there is still the facility to access the mdb via this rather than through the server. However since installing the product, we have had a nightmare trying to get it to run properly without being logged in as administrator on the workstations.

So my question is really three fold:

  1. Is there a simplified permissions setup schema that we can trawl through to work out how to make things work?
  2. Will it actually simpler to learn TSQL than to try to find specific fields in up to 150 tables via Access?
  3. Can I find these fields with the Enterpirse Manager?

Sorry to be so vague, many thanks, Rob.
