Cannot uninstall WinFX Beta2 (April) error 1603
Greetings.
I have problem uninstalling the WinFX 3.0 Beta2.
This is the latest beta before the current (June CTP) so I think it is Beta2 April CTP.
I try to uninstall from Control Panel, and get this error:

Ok, so it seems that I didn't have WCF installed , therefore I cannot uninstall WinFX ?
So, I try to fnid the WCF Beta2 April CTP, but all links on Microsoft is updated to point to the new shiny June CTP.
Catch 22...
Any ideas ?

Ah, yes, forgot to mention that I have tried this uninstall tool also.
But it rolls back, I get this error dialog:

exactly the same problems here. is there a way to manually uninstall the winfx beta 2?
Are you on a non-English operating system?
Can you try to change your system locale to English, and uninstall?
To change your system locale:
- Start|Run
- type in: intl.cpl
- In the advanced tab, choose English (United States) as the "Language for non-Unicode programs".
Please let me know if this help solving the uninstall issue.

Nope, I am using English XP.
I already had "Language for non-Unicode programs" set to English(United States).
Since I'm in Sweden I hade the Regional Options (Standards and formats/Location) set to Swedish/Sweden.
Tried to change thoose to English/Unisted States and run the uninstall tool but no difference.
B.T.W. Should the uninstall tool uninstall MSDN Library and SQL Server Express ?

I have the same problem on Windows XP Portuguese Brazil. I changed every configurations to en-us and the problem persist. I will mail you now with the dd's files from TEMP.

dir %temp%\dd*.* says that no files found.

changing the winxp local doesn't help. same problem. here is a copy of my error log after a failed uninstall :

maybe this can help you to get the insight on this problem, which seems to occur by many winfx users.
ok, guys i found something. try:
C:\WINDOWS\WinFX\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe -ua
before uninstalling the winfx v3.0. this should uninstall wcf.
remember to repair/or reinstall winfx v3.0 first, because an aborted install (as we have) leaves many files deleted.
i have it uninstalled now :) hope i can install .net 3 now

This also worked for me.
1. Repair the old Beta 2
2. C:\WINDOWS\WinFX\v3.0\Windows Communication Foundation\ServiceModelReg.exe -ua
3. Uninstall with the uninstall tool.
4. Uninstall Beta2 April fron Control Panel/Add or Remove programs

I've reinstalled and deleted WinFX and WWF but this does nothing to me. When I run installation it says that I should uninstall betas, and in the list it shows dash and emptiness after it... I've cleaned registry with micecraft jv16 to delete dead links, but it isn't work. Edmund, I've sent you my dd* files. Have to say forward I've already delete WWF, but the line with warning in installation log still persist.
