How do I get the 360 controller to work on Windows Vista?

You simply plug it in.

Drivers for the Xbox 360 controller will be built-in to Windows Vista. You didn't specify if it was working or not, so I'll add the obligatory caveat: since Windows Vista is in unreleased form, some beta builds of Windows Vista might not function properly.

Good to know. And yea I should've given more details - I'm running Vista 5472, and plugging it in didn't work, though it was detected once (and once only).
