Changing data source for data source views

I have a RS2005 project that includes about 60 data source views, with the same number of report models. The data source the views are based on is not named well and I would like to change it. It seems that this causes massive problems with the dsv and smdl files associated to the ds.

Does anyone know an easy way of changing the ds name?
