I also got that same message on this file mcdftreg.inf .
Now my video sux and I can't play video games unreal tournament and also My videos are very choppy and do not play well.
I checked my resources during the playing of videos and it is normal, proc is low, memory is not being slammed.
Where Can I get these files for my computer.

This isn't a place to fix hardware problems. You need to contact your hardware manufacturer for these kind of probloems. However, a missing viaagp.sys file pretty much tells me you're not done isntalling the necessary components after installing XPSP2. You need to make sure you have motherboard and graphics card drivers installed properly, otherwise you will get a colossal number of IO stalls just in bus traffic alone (which has absolutely nothing to do with your graphics)
gd pm,

I got it... If u want to update to dx9.0c or either:
Download any program to rollback dx (i used dx eradicator but the are plenty u can use) Open it and it would rollback dx to ver 8.1. Download both redist 9.0b and 9.0c and copy the dlls and the setup from the folder u extracted the files from dx 9.0b and copy them to the folder u extracted 9.0c. and run setup. that didn't work for me, so what i did was:
I used dx eradicator to rollback to ver. 8.1. I reboot my system the insert the win xp cd. Instead of install it all over again and delete my files, there is an option that says repair. That's what i did. It installs everything again including the sp2 and finally the directx 9.0c. If it doesn't work for u, try the same but with a newer xp version, i might have installed the beta version of sp2.
tell how it works, good luck to all
