Location of data in Self-issued card

The data is stored on your local hard-drive in the encrypted card store. The card store is not accessible from your user account, it is ACL'd for system use only. (which is why we need NTFS for it). If the ACLs are changed, or the store is altered, CardSpace refuses to even load the store.

There is no external self-issued identity provider storage.
