VS 2003 Server Explorer URI style tool tips

When you mouseover Server Explorer nodes such as a table name, a tool tip of this format appears:

MSSQL:://MachineName/DatabaseName/dbo/Table/dbo/TableName : Open

Is the specification for this format published? Can it be programmed against or is this for VS internal use only?

I suggest asking this in one of the VS groups as they write the server explorer, not the SQL Server team
