Server Explorer reports "object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Hello,
I have serious problems concerning database-connectivity in the Server Explorer of Visual Studio 2005.
Whenever I try to open a connection (regardless of which Provider I'm using, both ODBC and OLE DB don't work) I get the message "Der Objektverweis wurde nicht auf eine Objektinstanz festgelegt" (in english: object reference not set to an instance of an object)
We're using different OLE DB Providers for SQLBase, IBM Informix and IBM DB2 and the message is displayed for each connection, so this seems to be a problem within Visual Studio.
In order to solve the problem I already uninstalled the complete Visual Studio 2005 an all additional frameworks (e. g. Atlas, Windows Workflow Foundation, .NET 3.0 Beta)
Everything was working properly until I upgraded Windows Internet Explorer 7.0 Beta3 to RC1 this morning and I don't remember having done other changes on my machine.
Anyone experienced similar problems?
