Thanks for filing the bug reports – we really appreciate it, they do help, and right now our primary dev work focus is on investigating customer reported issues. Some of the issues will be addressed in the next version of the product, whereas some other issues will be fixed earlier in a service pack for Visual Studio 2005 which we are planning to ship during the summer of 2006. We’ll have more details as we get closer to the date.

Well, summer came and summer went - my how time flies when you're having fun!
I wish I were having fun - WHEN IS A SERVICE PACK TO BE RELEASED? I'm sick and tired of being fobbed of with "early 2006", then "summer 2006" then "by Q3 2006" which is still the current official position. If you are unable to meet commitments don't make 'em.
While I understand that Microsoft staff may have felt the need to react to the terribly adverse publicity about VS 2005 product quality, and the ongoing pressure of trying to support such a bug infested product, making empty promises doesn't impress anybody. Please, give a firm date for a stable release of VS 2005 and let us know what will be fixed and what won't.

What adverse publicity?

For my own part, I've found that a small project on 2005 works OK, but get anywhere near a real life application and problems increase exponentially, mostly due to a complete lack of understanding of Fusion and the interaction between loaded modules.
