Excel Serial Date-Time

Hello all,

I've come across something known as Excel Serial Date-Time in my programming. It is related to a ping function where my client must send the current Excel Serial Date-Time as part of the ping packet and the server will return its current Serial Date-Time. Therefore the difference can be established and the ping time calculated.

Next question is how on earth do I convert the current ddmmyyhhnnss that I can get through VB into Excel Serial Date-Time format and vice versa.
