css and IE7...

Hi !

I expected that the new version of IE7 would support CSS better than IE6 did. Unfortunately, I see that the "display:table-cell" attribute doesn't work in IE7 (although it works perfectly with firefox or opera), so center text vertically in a div is painful with IE7. Why ?

Hi catdev,

Much work has been done to improve CSS support in IE7. See http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/IETechCol/cols/dnexpie/ie7_css_compat.asp and http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/08/22/712830.aspx for details.

Support for display:table is something that we are looking at for a future release of IE.

Thanks
-Dave

Yeah, well it's been in CSS2 specifications for over 10 years now. Seriously, you are the worst bunch of programmers I've ever seen. It's fantastic that you're releasing a browser that is completely incapable of what most other browsers do just fine. GRRR!
