WDS plug-in for Lotus Notes not working

I have istalled WDS 2.65 and the lotus notes plug-in, I didn't find any option to specify which databases WDS would index. WDS indexed all files under Notes dirctory, it found the notes directory, however it didn't index any thing inside Notes database.
Is there a place I could specify the databases to be indexed? And how could I make WDS to index messages inside a Notes database?
Thanks.

NNYY -

It sounds like you would like to index multiple Lotus Notes databases. The current Lotus Notes add-in does not offer that functionality. The good news is that Microsoft plans to release a new version of the Lotus Notes protocol hanler that will grant that functionality. We currently expect the new protocol handler to be available within a week or so. I'll post when it's available.

Paul:
Thanks for the reply. So now WDS will only search user's local mailbox? if there is no local mailbox, then it won't search anything inside a database yet. How does it grab the name of local mailbox? from location documents or from notes.ini. As notes.ini may not have local mailbox information, so it should scan location document?

Paul:

I'm also very interested in this. I have an archive file I would like to add. I also have a different problem. An cmd window pops up with a prompt from the indexer for the notes ID file password. I have had a couple of occasions where Notes has locked up when this occurs so now on have disabled indexing and start it only when I've shut down the notes client. The popup cmd window is pretty annoying because you don't get any feedback if it has actually accepted the password, etc. and it sort of just disappears. All seems to be well except obviously my indexing is basically a manual process now. We use Notes 5.0.12 and are in the process of an upgrade to Notes 6.X so I was hoping that would help.

Thanks.

I have installed WDS and the Lotus Notes plug in. Both processes completed successfully. I am able to use WDS to search - it does however not find any mails in Lotus Notes. I am never prompted to enter my Notes password as some other people have posted on this site. Is there a place in WDS where I can look to see that the plug in is actually plugged incorrectly? Is there something I should maybe change in Notes to enable it's files to be indexed by WDS - maybe allow "access control"

Just found that a new plug-in was released and it allows you to add other Lotus Notes (nsf) databases to be searched. Here is a link:http://www.microsoft.com/windows/desktopsearch/search/wdsaddins.mspx. Once installed there is a "Windows Search Add-ins" program group to your 'Start' 'Programs' that should contain a 'Lotus Notes Preferences' program allowing the addition of multiple databases. Good Luck!

I don't see any new program groups or a Lotus Notes Preferences anywhere. What does the shortcut point to? I've got Notes mail indexing fine (except for occasional lock ups of Notes) but no way to add my Notes email archive. Are you using Notes 5.X or 6.X? Thanks.
