I work in a small shop with 2 true developers and 1 "DBA" person and soon adding another developer. I've looked at the VSTS briefly and it looked like something for a large shop of developers. My question is(kind of basic) for a shop of 2/4 developers would the VSTS be worth getting?
| I think it doesn't matter the size of the team, but what are the developer(s) needs. If they would like the ability to do Profiling or Testing then Team System is the route to go. Note there is also Team Foundation Server (TFS). TFS can be used as a store for source code similiar to VSS. However, TFS also adds the ability to do work item and tracking automactic Build control. |
