Team Project Creation failed...

Hi,

I am using 180 day trial version of Visual Studio Team Suite. When I try to create a new team project, it is throwing the following error.

Error: TF30170: The plugin Microsoft.ProjectCreationWizard.WorkItemTracking failed during task WITs from group WorkItemTracking,

Explanation: Plugin error text: "Input string was not in a correct format."

Can any one please help me what could be the reason?

Are you using your own process template? or maybe you have some issues with the regional configuration on the server or in the database, check the requirements or incompabilities in MSDN

It looks like the definition of the workitems that get created is not correct.

See message in dump: Incorrect syntax near ','.

Can you download the template you use and go to the folder Workitem tracking and check the definition in the file workitems.xml

It will have a set of workitems defined that are inserted at project creation and if I count correctly in the dumped error the 16th workitem that get's inserted is not ok. There might be something wrong in the tekst that gets inserted or other fields that are set.

I checked the same and there is nothing wrong with the text that is inserted. The same template was working fine earlier. But one of the admin guy installed active perl on the TFS server, then it started giving problems and I was not sure whether that caused this issue. I would expect that, some thing happened to Sharepoint services after installing active perl.
