Install problems

Having install problems with the Power Tools. During the install of the add-ins the MSI installer fires up Visual Studio. It (VS) in turn crashes and that triggers the MSI install to roll back. Tried to kill the MSI installer (with procexp) before it got to the rollback, but it somehow managed to remove the command-line tool anyway.
So I tried to do a custom install of only the command-line utils and this worked nicely.
I've seen this a lot with my installation when installing add-ins but usually everything works ok even though VS crashes. I think the crash is realted to the fact that vi have our 'My Documents' on an UNC share (offlined) which is not trusted. Set up a policy once that saved the day for another add-in, but this has been removed by IT-support in one of their automagic scripts (so much for centralized management :-().
I'll try to set up the policy again and see if this fixes my problem and hopefully I remember to report back my findings to this thread :-)
