"Related Questions" panel contains posts from the thread being commented on

Not too serious just a bit dumb.

The related questions panel that appears when you start writing a post contains posts from the thread you are replying to. I should hope they are related but why tell me? I realise its probably intended to help writing new posts rather replies but perhaps they can be be trimmed from the query results.

Correct. It's meant to hopefully reduce the amount of duplicate threads. A background search is executed on the the words you type into the subject line.
