IE7 RC1 doesn't render MHT pictures

IE7 RC 1 does not render pictures from MHT files saved in IE6. It does however render images from MHT files saved in IE7.

Is this a bug or a feature? As-is, it breaks my application. If it's a feature, can someone direct me to the new MHT standard?

We can't reproduce the issue here. Can you supply a repro file through http://connect.microsoft.com/ and let us know the bug number here.

I have the same issue with the final version of IE7. Is this the right forum for discussion?

The problem could be that the version of IE 6.0 used to create the mht files has not been updated to IE 6 Service Pack 1. I would try applying the Service Pack, create a new .MHT and open it on the machine with IE 7.
