cant log in vpc orcas !

I am using

Visual Studio Orcas

VPC Credentials:

Username: Administrator Password: P@ssw0rd

but it wont log me in

I had same problem like you, but after about 1 hour of typing password that couldn't log in, i found that I type wrong password :(. correct pass is P@ssw0rd (0 means zero number, not big O character). And I loged in successful. But I have a problem that couldn't use any new feature like: WPF, WF or WCF, LINQ...

Could you tell me the guidance. Thanks very much

I have the same problem but definitely typed in the correct password (the 0 caught me out too at first). Strange...

(appologies for the double posting)

i have finally managed to log in, and the problem is due to the VPC thinking that i have a US layout keyboard rather than the UK layout i have - so in place of the @ symbol - use Shift-2 to generate it

well i guess i was reseting to fast when it logged and showed me with the error report i though it was again because of too much bad password and that it was locking me out.
works now.

You may have trouble with the keyboard mapping if you don't happen to be American: with a UK keyboard under the Virtual PC 2007 beta, the @ maps to " and vice-versa. I found it easiest to type the password in the 'User name' field and copy/paste it from there.

Please do put that info on the page where we download the VPC. Its invaluable. I had the same problem with the TFS VPC and gave up trying to log in on that and as a result i lost several weeks of possible learning about the product. Now i've got a project with TFS in it and have got to cram as much as possible to be productive.

Could you provide various keyboard-driver (US, UK, JIS, etc.)?

I use Russian Keyboard, and even though I changed keyboard language to US-English there is no way to login... In september release I could login but in October release it is absolutely impossible.

In VSOct2006CTP realease, Administrator password is changed you have to use P2ssw0rd instead of P@ssw0rd , where O char is 0 'zero' char.
