RECIEVED A POWER SURGE . MY COMP. IS NOW IN A UNUSEABLE
STATE, NO NOTHING WHAT TO DO!!

well it certainly has nothing to do with Vista as well as this you have posted in the incorrect forum. A power surge happens, what has Windows Vista got to do with it? nothing at all. Remember, power surges with any electrical appliance can cause serious problems as you may have experienced.
