I have noticed that if you reply to a post in the middle of the thread that your post gets posted directly after the post in which you replied to...and NOT in chronological order. I would suggest for legibility and ease of tracking...that all post are kept in the time order in which they were posted. If a user wants to reply to someone 10 post back in the thread let them make the appropriate reference.
