SQL Server Alert Notification Systems

Greetings,

SOURCE:http://www.desktopalert.net

This is our web-based alert notification service that we are interested in integrating seamlessly with Microsoft’s Notification Server as well as 3rd Party content management systems and ad servers.

The differentiating feature in the offering is in its secure Jabber-based instant messaging client/server products and the upwards of 2048 bit security model and optional biometric / identity federated features available for small, medium and large scale system integration capability. This insures industry, financial, medical and government the world’s most secure end-to-end communication platform.

The entire platform is written in .Net technology. Is MS's notification platform insisting that the MS Chat Client be utilized? What are the inherent limitations both software and licensing-wise?

SQLNS is very flexible and you can create your own custom components for events, delivery, etc. Licensing can found at the NS home page. www.microsoft.com/sql/ns.
>>the world’s most secure end-to-end communication platform.
That's an impressive claim.
HTH...

Notification Services is in itself not a server. It is a framework for building scaleable, reliable alerting applications. You need to integrate it into your application.

NS is very extensible. You can deliver notifications to just about any destination by writing a custom delivery protocol.
