Sample Projects

I have been hunting for examples MSF projects , I noticed on this forum that were plans to provide some . I was wondering how that is progressing.

I am currently trying to understand how documnets will look and feel and hang together. Whilst I know there are templates they down't really help.

There are no sample projects yet but we want to have one ready when we ship. It will be on the MSDN site when it is available.

The VM given out at TechEd EMEA has been really helpful in getting to grips with VSTS. -- Thomas Lee (tfl@psp.co.uk) MVP - Admin Frameworks RD - UK

Hi Randy, I am trying to pull together some application development guidelines / standards for Allied Waste Industries (an IBM AS400 shop + WinTel servers) and have focused on MSF as the standard.

I've downloaded all the white papers and templates but really feel that a "solid sample", of a small project, would be most useful as a training tool and a fast path start.

Your blog from 9/12/05 implied you were working on some samples. Were you able to find or produce any?

It is so hard to build a sample that everyone can relate to. As such, in the MSF class, we take everyone though class-long example of a company that builds a bookcase. It sounds light-weight, and it is, but everyone gets the main points: what happens in the tracks and what happens by roles. I hope we expand & enhance that for the MSFv4 Essentials class
