Project portal on separate tier

hello,
is there a way to install only the project server on a separate machine, instead of the machine where the team foundation server is running?

I presume you meant to say "Windows SharePoint Services" and not "project server". If so, we currently don't support (and probably won't for v1) installing SharePoint on a separate physical computer from the Team Foundation application tier.

Is there any reason behind to make this decision? (It is fine for me. However, I just want to know if there is any reason.....) Thanks.

yes, because I've got the app- and data-tier on one machine in a secure area (with no access from outside), but now I want to allow a client to access just to the portal, which has to be outside this secure area. That's the reason why Big Smile.

Hi, is it or will it be possible to use a Sharepoint Portal Server 2003 as host for the Team Project Portals created by Team System. We would like to keep our Projects in one place. Thanks, Mats
