Error 110 on install of 2005 Enterprise Eval

Having burned the install DVD I'm installing from a PC with a DVD drive on to a Win2000 server with SP4 installed but while installing the prerequisites I get:

Error 110 Installing Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Setup Support Files System cannot open the device or file specified.

Any help greatly appreciated.
