Did anybody use Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit v4.1 or 5.0?

We are testing our applications for Windows Vista, and only were able to run Microsoft Application Verifier 3.2 and Microsoft Standard User Analyzer to test our applications and see the results.

We did also try Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit (ACT) v4.1 or 5.0 but after trying this software and reading the help still were unable to test our applications. The ACT seems to run properly, it connects to SQL database and so on, but we didn't find an option to tell it to test our software and see the results, although we did everything that is written in the help file.

If you have any experience with ACT 4.1 or 5.0, please share it with us. What and how did you test and whether the results were helpful.

The ACT tool is targeted toward enterprise administrators to get an understanding of the applications installed in their environment and have a way to centrally control what apps they want to have run on Vista. As far as testing applications, you can play around with applying compatibility settings and see how the app behaves. If you are an ISV, you can search the application database to see what compatibility settings have been set for your application.
