When I search a forum, I might get X results. Usually, I get Y
results that are of the same thread. Since, when I find something
interesting/matching my query, I click on it... I can read (at least
open) the same thread Y times. If you returned the first post in
a thread that matches a query, it'd help _me_ out.
I misposted earlier today, and realized I can edit but not delete
my post (the first in the thread). It would be valuable to both
delete and "move to another forum" an initial thread-post a person
makes. I see that we can delete "replies", but it'd be nice to be able
to delete initial posts.
(I'm sure the moderators can move posts and threads)....
