MSF for CMMI, Beginner
Dear All,
Pleased to join this forum, I am intersted in MSF, actually I was plannig to get the v 3.0 certificate but then I read that v 4.0 will be so different and it will be better to wait and see as new MSF 4.0 is for CMMI, I just downloaded "MSF for CMMI process improvement" content , is this the only avaliable material for MSF 4.0, and is there any workbench or tool to use to adhere to MSF 4.0 principles other than VSTS, please also I need to know what's the optimal route to take to master MSF 4.0, kindly advice,
Thanks in Advance.
I'm not sure what you mean by "optimal route" but I can answer some of your questions.
VSTS is not the only tool you can use. You can use the Brightwork system that has a web interface, http://www.brightwork.com/solutions/agile_software_development.htm
There will be other ways in future, including a way to access the guidance from MS Project, but I'm unable to mention names at this time.
Watch out for updates to the CMMI content and process template on MSDN within the next two weeks.

Thanks David,
I hope I can get MSF v.4 once it's published, so for time being how to prepare myself for that , I only downloaded "MSF for CMMI process improvement" material , so is this the only available resource and is it sufficient. ?
