CAPICOM.dll returns error.

Hi!

When I call capicom.dll's function, it leaves error message in event log. Is there somebody who knows cause of this?

I'm not an expert on CAPICOM aside from fooling with it a few times. Try posting your question to the security forum (http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=116&SiteID=1). The problem probably has to do with trying to access an x.509 cert where the certification path can't be fully resolved. Windows will try and automatically update the local list of 3rd-party root certificates via Windows update. Your error looks like it might be trying to to that. Can you try and load a cert without verifying the full trust path, just as a test? Also, I think there is a group policy setting that controls auto-updates of root certs. Good luck, I know this probably isn't very helpful.
